About Us
Henry Linda Daka
& Sipuxolo Toni
In July 2014, Nelson Mandela Metropolitan University hosted the Green Campus Initiative Annual Conference, with universities across the country. During this period, both of us were House Committee members representing our respective residences. It is during this week where we first met, working alongside each other, as we represented NMMU.
That meeting, led to the start and foundation of a friendship that would span for the next 3 years. In October 2017, the fruits of that friendship blossomed into a relationship.
Fast forward to March 2023, ooBhuku babhala incwadi encane, becela ukwakha ubuhlobo namaHlubi (the Daka family wrote a letter to Toni family, expressing intention to unite two familes). On 29th April 2023, the two families had their first sitting and began the Lobola negotiations. On the 23rd of September 2023, negotiations were successfully concluded between both families, Kwamkelwa Abayeni, as the Toni family welcomed the Daka family. During the celebrations, the engagement and ring were blessed.
On the 21st – 22nd September 2024, in front of God, our family and friends, we say I do and begin the next chapter of our lives together.
All roads lead to Mount Ayliff, countdown has officially begun and we cannot wait to celebrate with all of you.
